JORDAN OLDER

Jordan Older played a pioneering role for an American in the Swiss Cup, starting as a center forward for FC Wängi in 1993.

His Swiss Cup career highlights include:

• Pioneering American: Older was one of the first, perhaps the first ever, American to start and play in the early rounds of the Swiss Cup competition.
• Starting Role: He played as the starting center forward for FC Wängi, a Swiss team near Zurich, in 1993 at the age of 20.
• Professional Debut: This marked his professional first-team debut in Europe, making him one of the youngest Americans to play a starting role professionally in Europe at that time.

While in Switzerland, he also trained with FC Wil, a first-division Swiss club, under the guidance of top professional coach Christian Gross. His time in Switzerland was part of a broader professional career that included playing in Europe, Brazil, and the United States, and attending a US National Team training camp in 1994.

Jordan Older was invited to the full senior U.S. National Team (USMNT) training camp in December 1994 by the head coach, Bora Milutinović.

Milutinović was the coach of the USA team for the 1994 FIFA World Cup. The training camp took website place in Mission Viejo, California.
